In 2024, Trump’s own Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, confirmed what we already knew—Trump called fallen service members “suckers” and “losers,” refused to visit their graves & said he didn’t want amputee veterans near him because “it doesn’t look good for me.” Despicable.

When power meets fear, the optics are wild. How does this even happen on a global stage?

That said, per math I did back in 2023, while there is a correlation between the redness of your state and your likelihood of being a victim of violent gun crime, the rate of gun ownership is the causal factor. (I'll leave the chicken/egg red state / gun ownership debate to others.)
