Two years ago, I went to a local event and bumped into a friend I hadn't seen for ages.

Went to an event tonight to see the same performer and, ten minutes before showtime, received a message from the same friend with a picture of the stage, asking, 'you in here somewhere?'

Thrilled to see Ishikawa Kaito taking a major role in SBR, and with Miyake Kenta coming back, I can't help wondering if they'll bring back any other legacy actors.

When did "out of pocket" suddenly replace "off the wall" to mean, 'something unexpected or unusual'?

"Out of pocket" should refer to work expenses that you pay for yourself, e.g. paying to travel to a work event or paying for stationery. What does "out of pocket" have to do with 'unusual'?

I went out for coffee but my usual place was full, so I ended up somewhere else, and in my discombobulation I forgot to ask for decaf, so now I have caffeine on top of my meds. This is going to be an interesting day.

People in the gym are taking their shoes off and using the machines in their socks. 🤢

I avoided a whole set of machines because of one guy sitting with his socked feet on the pad of the leg curl while checking his phone.

Proper chip shop chips, with a wooden fork, by the beach, under a bright blue sky.

Spent my first day of unemployed freedom at the seaside. Ate ice cream, collected some cool beach rocks, bought knock-off legos, and didn't miss work at all.

I am officially unemployed!

Today's my last day at my job. Nine hours, and then I'm free. And unemployed.

I swear I'm the only person in this gym who wipes down equipment and benches after use.
Ugh.

I'd hoped that adhd meds would help to regulate my sleep. Instead, they just give me the motivation to get up and go to the gym when I can't sleep/ when I'm up at 6am on a Sunday.

Annoyed several men in the gym this morning by leaving the weight machine seats on the lowest height settings after my sets, because their defaults are not universal defaults.
Also they don't wipe the machines after they're done so who's the real bad guy here?

Aaaand I forgot that Outlook has defaulted to requesting read receipts on all my e-mails, so now everyone has received a demand to prove they read my message. 😫

I'm writing my goodbye e-mail for work (I officially finish on Monday). Since so many people are leaving right now and sending cheesy thank-you e-mails, it seems to be the done thing, so I'm trying to convince myself that it's just politeness and not humble-bragging to talk about my work.

Finally, some good fucking news.

I want to sit by the window and listen to the rain while I read, but the builders over the road are playing some obnoxious radio station and it's really killing the mood.

We're doing Sad Boy Hours today - just two work calls, interspersed with some couch-crying time, some weeping over fanfiction, and some good ol' fashioned ruminating over missed opportunities.

Feel like I've been living the influencer lifestyle today - got up at 6 and wrote for a couple of hours, went to the gym, did some more writing, went for coffee and cake with friends, bought some cute things for my whimsical fruit-themed bathroom, and now I'm back home ready to write again.

I started this week's Osomatsu-san thinking, 'I hope Endo Aya gets to do more than just shouting everyone's names'.
I was not disappointed.

Work is quiet today so I took a midmorning gym break (and I remembered my inhaler!).
It feels good to be moving again, and it's helping to regulate the appetite that my adhd meds keep disrupting.
