I didn't understand what she meant, because in two or three months I'm supposed to move to Europe permanently. Now I'm waiting for a French visa and really wanted us to be together so I could visit her in Munich. Last night she sent me a goodbye message and ended her life. She’s gone forever. She had very difficult relationships with almost everyone, and a very deep, severe depression. She was on antidepressants. She told me I was the only person who made her feel any joy and gave her a reason to keep going. I've been crying all morning. I work remotely from home, but I'm sitting at the computer like a vegetable. I don't even have an appetite. I'm disgusted by everything. All my interests boil down to "we did this together and we had such a great time." I can't even open a game without crying. I don't know what to do.

"I'm an optimist. I don't think things are going to get worse. I think this proved to me that the LGBTQ community is strong," Short told TNN. "We need to protest until they do something... We shouldn’t leave until something happens."
