Transphobes took the person I loved from me

I don’t even know why I’m writing this here. I’ve already written everywhere I could, but I still can’t find any peace.

I'm 19 and from Russia. Over six months ago, I met a wonderful transgender girl from Germany. She was 27, and we quickly became best friends. We talked a lot, and we had so much in common: video games like Infinity Nikki and Valorant, jirai kei makeup, Japanese street fashion, and just an overall obsession with Japan. Eventually, I fell in love with her, and she loved me back. When I confessed, she said she loved me too, but added that it was a shame we could never be together. I didn't understand what she meant, because in two or three months I'm supposed to move to Europe permanently. Now I'm waiting for a French visa and really wanted us to be together so I could visit her in Munich.

Last night she sent me a goodbye message and ended her life. She’s gone forever. She had very difficult relationships with almost everyone, and a very deep, severe depression. She was on antidepressants. She told me I was the only person who made her feel any joy and gave her a reason to keep going.

I've been crying all morning. I work remotely from home, but I'm sitting at the computer like a vegetable. I don't even have an appetite. I'm disgusted by everything. All my interests boil down to "we did this together and we had such a great time." I can't even open a game without crying. I don't know what to do.

when you understand that patriarchy views children as sexual property it all makes sense. there's no hypocrisy. exposure to queerness & transness threatens to "corrupt" the father's property, to "lead them astray" into self-determination, to taint their future sexual value. CSA is permissible as >

Artwork of the cover art of "Magica Riot: Full Bloom," featuring text "Magica Riot" is in the upper left corner in black in a combination of fantasty/crystalline and punk script fonts, while "Full Bloom" is below it in an interwoven script font in orange, red, and purple. The artwork depicts two trans girls, Iris and Bloom, laying on a bed of orange rain lilies. Iris has purple hair that fades to orange at the tips. She is wearing an orange sun dress, and is laying with her eyes closed. One hand is draped across her stomach, and the other is reaching up. Her fingertips are barely touching those of Bloom, also laying on her back and who is wearing a black corset dress, red bow, and long black gloves. She also has purple hair. Her eyes are open, and red. In her other hand, she holds a purple flower. Iris and Bloom are arranged diagonally across the page, head to head.

Across the top, artwork of the five main characters of Magica Riot in a park is placed. Around the book art are placed several blocks of text: "trans protagonist," "entirely queer cast," "tall hot evil sorceress," "thrilling action," "music-based magic," "sinister tech company," queer identity journey," "polyamory adventures," "useless lesbians," "modern-day Portland." Text reading "The next adventure of Portland's queer magical girl rock band" is next. Finally, text at the bottom reads: "Recommended if you like Sailor Moon, Symphogear, Pretty Cure, Power Rangers"

Moore's prisons defied a judge’s order to follow standards to keep a woman safe from rape, as AG Brown has mounted "vigorous" defense against her lawsuit and lawmakers sideline meaningful reform

Violence against trans women in prisons and detention centers is not an accident, it's the intention of policies that place trans women with men.

See our previous reporting on the cruel nature of how prisons, even in supposedly "safe" states, intentionally put trans women in danger.

Still, she never lost hope, even after days of horrific abuse.

"I'm an optimist. I don't think things are going to get worse. I think this proved to me that the LGBTQ community is strong," Short told TNN. "We need to protest until they do something... We shouldn’t leave until something happens."
