We also found a relationship between the way students interpreted the figurative mappings & a tendency to tell stories about the possible ways in which climate change intersects with their personal lived and experiences 😌

We found that focusing on climate activism & creative uses of #metaphor & metonymy (e.g. contrasts between literal/figuragive meaning & personification) prompted students to engage on a deep level with cultural/social/ethical & politicial aspects of climate change

In the article, we support the case that climate #education needs to move beyond focusing solely on #climatescience and embrace creative & participatory practices 🧵

Questionable whether the COPs have any impact at all 👀 (this needs to change) but it's totally inspiring to think that - just maybe - our research might contribute towards something good in the world! 🎉 #SDG

My latest 🔓 article (part of my PhD research) co-authored with Lorraine Adriano and @jeannettel.bsky.social has been selected for inclusion in a special issue dedicated to informing the next UN #ClimateEvent. Shocked and thrilled! #ClimateAction #COP29
