I found it to be very clear in explaining and expanding on ideas. One I like to turn to from time to time.

True, it's a gateway! It's also a great snapshot of those Cavern/Hamburg days. It's got a lot of merit.

Vol 1 was a great idea and always cheap as chips at record fairs etc. Vol 2 has brilliant songs (obviously), but not sure it really hangs together as a concept...

The Paddingtons weren't really my generation of gigs, but I'm sure they'll make plenty of lists!

They didn't have Ringo, so no... it needed that missing piece of the puzzle, plus obviously, George Martin... it's hard to compare with limited audio, but Decca 1st Jan v Hamburg 31st Dec suggests it's a different band altogether.
