I’m also most excited about the SUP expansion slot cards, but I also think the September BnR could provide a good shakeup that gets people interested in a new meta and where their favorite deck fits if some of the current top decks get knocked down a bit

I think early in the SEA meta there was a false sense that the openness of the new meta was the new normal, and since there’s a lot of new players this may be the first time they’ve experienced the meta closing in on a few heroes that aren’t their favorites? Not sure, my locals enjoy the meta rn

The Flesh and Blood card Kraken’s Aethervein, the art depicts a staff underwater. The card has a once per turn instant ability that costs 3 resources and deals 1 arcane damage to an opposing hero, then draws cards equal to the damage dealt. This card is banned in the LL format.

The Flesh and Blood card Firebreathing, the art depicts a woman breathing colorful fire at the Everfest circus. It is a 2 cost attack that has 3 base power and an instant ability that allows you to pay 1 resource to increase the power by 1.

The Flesh and Blood card Awakening, the art depicts the seismic forces shattering the earth with a character stuck on top of one of the breaking pieces. This card is a 2 cost guardian instant with Earth Fusion that makes seismic surge tokens equal to the life differential between you and an opposing hero with more life, and double that many tokens if it is fused.

The newly revealed Flesh and Blood card Seismic Shelter, which depicts a character moving a lever as rocks fall above them. The card gives your attack action cards +X defense where X is the number of seismic surge tokens you control.

Look, I’m just saying that there’s counter play to Verdance swinging 200 now, so they should unban the Kraken and unrestrict Awakening, right? #fabtcg

I just want to hear their thought process, even if I don’t like it it would be nice to know how we got here

The new PQ rules don’t affect my community at all (typically only 1 PQ within a 4 hour drive anyways) but I’m interested in how the new rules play out and if this change actually makes a difference in who gets the gold foils at events. First impression is it won’t change much #fabtcg

I really loved the PQ Baltimore meta, mostly because it was my first competitive season and I enjoyed guardian mirrors

It seems like lore doesn’t matter to LSS and is an afterthought at best. Some stories feel unfinished or like there was meant to be a second part that wasn’t published, and the best place to read the lore isn’t the game’s website. Just doesn’t feel organized or like there’s a direction

By far the biggest shortcoming of the series is how it approaches gender, and the writing for Nynaeve from book 3 to 7 or so (off the top of my head) was a low point for me.

I think the characters are better in books 8-10 (where I am now) but the bioessentialism is unfortunately baked in
