Occasionally, another member of my species will do something so remarkably wreckless on a bike that, having sideslipped a trip to the ER, all one can do is say “DAYUMN, that was close!” and process appropriately.

Good leaders take responsibility and accept accountability for both the excellence and errors committed under their direction and guidance. It is the only way for both leader and organization to learn and improve. Neither the leader nor the team are infallible, and that’s okay.

The other quip is:
If you ask 5 SF guys how to accomplish a mission, you’ll get 5 different answers.
6 if one of them is a medic.

While having lunch today mid-ski at the local resort (southern PA), my youngest across the table gave me a running commentary on how many people made faces behind my back when they realized what I was wearing🤣
