+ Can be incredibly blunt but overall wants to teach and understand

There may be other characters that had some amount of relation for me in the past, but I distinctly remember seeing Lilo for the first time and thinking along the lines of, "YO, I GET YOU."

This one was hard for me to find an answer to. Very often my brain is split between my internal self and the external world, and they don't mix easy. Relating myself to things doesn't come naturally, and is often uncomfortable.

Then I remembered one

"Man, I really gotta draw more man tiddies"
They are fun. All tiddies can be fun :)

One dismissing grievances on the grounds that such grievances are "political," Is to dismiss grievances one doesn't care about because one doesn't have them.

One sees it as political and refuses to collaborate. The other is disowned by their family, pushed, bullied, and told it's politics.

They are points brought up in politics, as are points relating to the LGBTQIA+ community, chronically ill, neuro-divergent, etc.

But for members of those communities, those points don't STAY political, they bring them home. They live with them. It is their lives, and that's why they speak on it.

"Well we can agree to disagree about politics"

It's not just politics.
Imagine walking up to a black person during a civil rights march and asking them why they won't shut up about politics.
Or asking a woman to stop being political during the womens' suffrage movement.

When people deny love for pitiful reasons, it's not worth conforming for the sake of love. It's worth finding love that doesn't ask conformity of you, love that always strives to have you be a better you and never someone else.

Stories like these take the beauty of people so often shunned and hated for the sake of social norms and puts that beauty at the forefront. It's not to point out some people are bad people for treating others poorly. Treating others poorly, is bad. Racism is bad. Love is beautiful.

Very similar to the energy in the book "How to Kill a Mockingbird."

As an Ace Furry that grew up in Bible-belt areas of Texas, both movies speak to me a lot. They're sad stories in large part, and they're meant to be. Because it's horribly sad when you can't see beauty in others.

What movie do you consider "perfect?"

Ok, I'm not sure if I consider anything 'perfect,' and not in a bad way. Flaws are beautiful. First movie I thought of to shout out fits that great. Wonderful movie about grief, lots of LGBTQ struggles, finding purpose, and self-searching.

I used to avoid listening to sad music, because I didn't want to feel sad. But feeling sadness and grief are beautiful parts of the human experience.

When we avoid or ignore parts of life, we choose to live less. I'm glad so many now see the beauty in their fellow humans instead of avoiding them.
