13.02.2025 16:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I havenβt got PND this time round, Iβm just sleep-deprived. But itβs got me thinking about how this is the stuff that can be a little glimmer of light in the darkness and loneliness of depression. A little glimpse of humanity & community. To feel seen when you feel invisible.
13.02.2025 16:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A picture of some frozen soup, biscuits and a note reading: hi, I was thinking of you after the school run and remembering how hard it can be, and what to do to help. Hereβs some homemade soup (lentil and chorizo). Iβm sorry itβs so random but I hope itβs a nice lunch/break for you.
A sleepless night with my 1yo and a hard morning with my demand sensitive 6yo resulted in me bursting into tears when I mum I didnβt know asked how I was. Anyway, at pickup today she handed me this and gave me a hug.
It didnβt cost her much but I felt so seen and nurtured.
All day every day an internal panic I had forgotten something.
My brain was busy, so busy just trying to remember.
So much so I was always forgetting to remember it all.
I was the top set student who hid it all.
Your emotional experiences in childhood...
- change your biology
- alter the neural pathways in your brain
- shift the setpoint of hormonal production
- shape what you perceive in others' expressions
You carry the lessons of childhood in your body.
Even though most of us don't recall the training.
