The Quiraing, stunning when wet! It's a pause, between sideways rain, epic really. There's mist over the lochs and peaks that brings a silent calm, there's absolutely nobody here with us. The road winds down through the hills of punched-up greens thanks to the constant moisture. The air is thick and rejuvenating. Time to go hide in the car:-)

#Stunday #Bloomscrolling 7 years ago the garden (on an old clay pit/scrap yard) was a mess and surrounded by overgrown leylandii and conifers, which blocked all sunlight. Still hard work in progress - but loosestrife will grow anywhere and gave me something to smile about tonight

This is Jimmy Lowe, a famous asparagus farmer in the 1930βs, at Formby sand dunes in Merseyside. Formby asparagus was once a famous delicacy. Not the best photographic composition, I know, and I only had my mobile camera that day β but the sky was the most amazing colour. #BlueSkyMonday
