One thing I wish all Democrats knew is that we don't expect you to be fearless. We expect you to be brave. Bravery is not the absence of fear. It is being afraid and moving ahead anyway.

If you find that you are neither, then it is time to step aside. There are people who can do this job ably.

For the record.

My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers.

I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

Never lose sight of how weird and corrupt it is for the president to have his unelected, unconfirmed oligarch friend—his biggest campaign donor—conduct US foreign policy.

No other US president did that, and there’s no reason to think he’s representing the American people rather than himself.

The Art Of The Steal Corruption in plane sight.

So as Trump prepares to ride off into the sunset on his Qatari magic carpet (now with turbulence and tax write-offs!), remember: Hillary Clinton couldn’t keep a necklace. Donald Trump gets a $400 million bribe with extra legroom and a built-in tanning bed.

A comment by one of the founders of War Studies on today's debates, from almost two centuries ago:

"The aggressor is always peace-loving (...); he would prefer to take over our country unopposed."

Anyone framing the Democratic schism as "left vs right" should be discarded as either uninformed or disingenuous (which is what Politico's attempt to blame "the left" is).

The key divide is between those who want to fight back forcefully - and those who cannot imagine anything but accommodation.

I think what is making everyone so angry isn’t just the cowardice of Senate Democrats, it’s their cowardice in comparison to the random normal person who runs for school board to oust a Moms for Liberty freak

Trump at the DOJ today was an incredibly weak, demented monster. He has the title of president, but the stature of a convicted felon. He begged the audience to believe a fantasy rewrite of his criminal history. Then he begged them to commit crimes for him by prosecuting innocent people who he hates

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

Apparently a lot of people are just finding out, but yeah, there’s a state-organized mass kidnapping campaign on occupied territories, children are forcibly deported to russia, sent to re-education camps, and given up for adoption to russian families. Article 2, point E of the Genocide Convention.

New progressive Senate Democratic leadership needed to fight corporate interests Text SIGN PCXNHN to 50409 — Here's the letter body: The Democratic Party is facing a pivotal moment, and it is clear that the current Senate leadership under Chuck Schumer is failing to meet the demands of the times. Schumer's willingness to compromise on core principles and his reluctance to engage in bold, progressive action is deeply concerning. The Republican budget bill that Schumer is set to approve represents a capitulation to corporate interests and a betrayal of the values that the Democratic Party claims to uphold. By voting for this bill, Schumer is enabling the exploitation of workers, the degradation of the environment, and the further consolidation of wealth and power in the hands of a few. It is time for Schumer to step aside and allow new, more progressive leaders to take the reins. The Democratic Party needs Senate leadership that is uncompromising in its commitment to social and economic justice, environmental protection, and the rights of marginalized communities. Only then can the party truly represent the interests of the people and work towards creating a more equitable and sustainable society. The challenges we face are too great to be met with half-measures and compromises. We need a Democratic Party that is willing to fight for radical change, to dismantle systems of oppression, and to prioritize the well-being of all people over the profits of corporations. Schumer's approach of appeasing the establishment and maintaining the status quo is no longer tenable. It is time for the next generation of progressive leaders to step forward and chart a bold new course for the Democratic Party. Only by embracing a truly transformative agenda can we hope to create a better future for all.

These are the same Senate Democrats who lectured the base for years about the importance of preserving the filibuster so it would still be available when Democrats were in the minority

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Where is Dem leadership on the illegal arrest and disappearing of Mahmoud Khalil?

Where is the free speech crowd who claims they are the vanguards of free speech?

If roles were reversed MAGA leadership would have a nationwide media tour at this point. smh the apathy is deadly.

It’s Women’s History Month—Men, We Must Do Better The best way to celebrate women's history is to elevate women and to shut down the men working to deny women equal justice

March is Women's History Month. From our founding 1776 statement that "All men are created equal," wholly ignoring women, to the ERA still not law in 2025—one fact remains—men continue to deny women equal justice.
