I found out because he needed his yearly check up and we wanted to change the chip info. He was flagged for being stolen.
SO! Had to deal with police and the cat getting confiscated for almost 3 hours. Was late for work, And STILL no real solution other than, okay come get him.
I. Hate. Everything.

TL;DR
The cat my mom and her bf allegedly rescued, was flagged as stolen on his chip and the ex-wife wants him back.
We have text proof that she told mom's bf to come get him.
So NOW because she changed her mind, the cat we bonded with over 6 months is stuck in vet purgatory.

I'm so god damn mad.
Why does every time I get something good and get a little relief it's immediately followed with bullshit.

Looks like Dropbox is doing the same Google Drive did and is purging accounts based on what you back up. They should not even be looking at your files at all IMO.

If you use these services, have everything downloaded somewhere safe so you don't lose it due to corporate whim.

I spent a few hours using some apps to remove all the AI features of Windows 11. I have to stay vigilant after every update to ensure they were not reinstalled.

So far, so good.
