it really speaks volumes when one CEO can get a 50+million yearly bonus while projects that cost 5-10 million that could employ hundreds of people are deemed "too risky"

i think beyond the huge sums of money being thrown around in tech projects and CEO pay packages being simply too large, to me it's an incredible shame to think that sort of thing is normal when fractions of those amounts could give work and create new projects if they were in different hands.

That said, regardless of the legal situation this is as blatant a violation of the integrity of an artwork as there could ever exist, and I really hope it pushes Japanese and other legislatures to adapt the law to prevent it from ever happening again.
