Or how many of the fans are also fans of football. As if Black and Latino people don't love their pastime.

Like whatβs the point now of being a billionaire and owning a newspaper? At least the robber barons gave some of what they stole back to the public.

Bring friends! Bring gloves! Bring a love of journalism!
This sounds familiar... π€ But growing a newsroom from the ground up takes time and money β and frankly, we need way more resources than we have now to fill this massive gap.

Not sure where he got it, but in grad school one of my teachers taught me that.
This (long) thread is about the key distinctions I rely on as a critic. There's a Twitter version from 2021. This one builds on that one.
I will post them one at a time. Ready?

What a loss. Man fuck January.
Catherine OβHara gave us all so much. Her comedy inspired me. Her characters served as proxy mothers for many of us.
All of our lives, and our culture more broadly, are better because of her life and work.
Ugh Catherine O'Hara. If her death is confirmed, and we have no reason to think it won't be, what a shattering loss for everyone. But special tight hugs for fellow millennials who grew up with her. Also, lol thank you to her for being every gay man's personality while Schitt's Creek was running.
