A wide shot capturing a dynamic learning moment inside the Bansa Library campus. A young primary school girl, wearing a bright shirt, stands on a small wooden chair to gain height, as she actively writes on a large whiteboard mounted on the wall. She is teaching the 'word of the day' to a group of approximately a dozen peers who are seated cross-legged on the floor in front of her. The atmosphere is focused and collaborative, highlighting the child-led learning and free spirit of the community library environment.
If you look at this picture closely, you’ll see more than just a child writing on a board. In our Bansa Library campus, learning flows freely. Today, a young member stood on a chair to reach the board, wrote the Word of the Day, and began explaining it to her friends, contd. 👇

Inside a modest classroom like structure with yellow and white painted walls, several children sit on wooden desks, watching attentively as a young girl stands in front holding a book and reading aloud. Some children look curious, others thoughtful, while notebooks and textbooks rest on the desks. The scene reflects the spirit of shared learning and inspiration in a community library space.
Today, one of our youngest members picked up a book and read aloud to everyone, simply because she had seen the older members do it before. This is what makes community libraries magical: they are living spaces where children observe, absorb, and pass on inspiration to each other.

A story read by one becomes courage for another. A small act of curiosity turns into a ripple of confidence.
Community Libraries remind us that education isn’t confined to classrooms, it blossoms in community, in togetherness, and in the quiet power of shared spaces.

At library, something beautiful is happening. Young members, especially aged 8 and above are falling in love with science. They’re full of questions, ideas, & dreams. On their request, we organised a fun little Science Experiment Workshop. For many, it was their first time seeing science come alive.

Monthly Movie Screening Update
We recently screened the short film "Juice" with 13 to 16-year-old girls. Juice is a film heavy with truth and layered with beauty, it tells the story of everyday patriarchy playing out in middle-class Indian households.

A young girl stands at the front of a modest village classroom, reading aloud from a picture book to a group of attentive children seated at wooden desks. This scene is from Bansa Library, where daily read-aloud sessions like these are transforming a village once told that “no one reads anymore.” In a place where screens had taken over, storytelling, books, and the love for reading are making a powerful comeback, proving that reading is truly contagious.
It's always a highlight at Bansa Library to see our young members organizing their own read-aloud sessions. In Bansa village, which previously had no libraries and no established reading culture, these daily scenes of literary engagement are truly transformative. 1/2

A group of children and teenagers sit on chairs and benches inside Bansa Community Library, attentively participating in a virtual class displayed on a television screen mounted on the wall. The screen shows a woman smiling as she teaches remotely. The library shelves around them are filled with neatly organized books. This setup reflects how the library facilitates virtual mentorship and classes, expanding access to knowledge for rural learners in Bansa and surrounding villages.
Why should we let geography become a barrier to knowledge in this digital age? With our growing virtual infrastructure, any member of our library, can now request a class, workshop, or mentorship session. We’ll make it happen!

A vibrant scene inside a community library shows a group of rural women, dressed in colorful traditional sarees, engaging with books on neatly arranged shelves labeled in Hindi. The women are reading, smiling, and discussing books, radiating joy and curiosity. The background features a bright, cheerful wall painted in blue and yellow, with categories such as "कविता" (poetry), "जीवनी" (biography), and "भाषाई साहित्य" (linguistic literature). The atmosphere reflects a strong sense of community, learning, and empowerment through reading.
At Bansa Library, every day is a celebration of books, but today, on World Book Day, we pause to honor the power they hold. In our small corner of the world, books are passports to new places, quiet companions, and sparks that ignite curiosity.
