In NYC restaurant prices are crazy. Entrees are in the $30-$50 range where even a couple of years ago they were $20-$30. For PASTA! Definitely going out less and expecting higher quality for those prices.

I believe all new construction in NYC must be electric, and not gas. This legislation is about existing gas lines only.

I believe that all newly built apartments in NYC have to be electric only. Gas is legacy, and part of the reasoning behind this bill is that some of the hookups are also legacy in a bad and unsafe way.

The cause of that explosion was a new boiler that had been installed incorrectly. The basement filled with gas, and when the homeowner turned on the light to investigate the smell, BOOM.
