Delighted to say I successfully defended my PhD and passed with minor corrections.

Been drinking a lot of this cordial. Bottle said 1:4 with water but I found it a bit weak so pouring a solid 1:3.
Husband tasted it last night & looked like he was going to be sick.
On revision of the instructions it’s actually suppose to be 1:14 cordial:water. My sweet tooth/bad eyes strike again 😂

Home from holiday at 4:30 last night. At the vets before 5pm with a very sick cat. Not even 24 hours later and I’m £600 down and waiting to bring her home to palliate. 18 years old and she’s still bringing the drama. 🐈
Whatever time she has left will be filled with lots of cuddles and dreamies ❤️

Yesterday I chucked on my dungarees as I was examining & planned to change into my scrubs when I got to work.
Plans changed & I got to play a 12 year old patient in the OSCE.
3 people assumed my dungarees were a character outfit 😂😂🙈
Nope just a middle age woman who hasn’t grown up 🤣

I submitted my PhD thesis about 6 weeks ago & couldn’t believe how hard that feeling hit.
Our supervisors wouldn’t let us submit if we weren’t capable. You’ll be awesome.
No one warned me about the dip/nothingness after submission. My top tip is have something lovely planned. X

Hospital toast has magical qualities. Whether you’re nightshift or a patient it just makes everything better.

Me and Little T have been growing wild flowers. Started getting the cutest of visitors now. 🥰 🐝

Don’t worry. When the 40s hit you don’t need alcohol to feel like death after a late night 😂🙈

Got a gentle tap from Little T in the early hours to tell me all his bogies were gone & he could breathe. He then advised me he had stuck them all to my shoulder 😳🙄🙈😂
99.9% of the time grand-parenting is a joy. Then there’s these moments 😂

Sound cheesy but mine is emails from happy students. Also, seeing former students thriving and progressing in their careers. Worth more than any paper.

I’m feeling your pain. Uni lecturer wearing a long black, buttoned up shirt dress today & experiencing the joys of flushes means there’s a good chance I’m going to melt like the wicked witch 🧙🏼 😂

We have made so many changes to assessments. It’s a huge challenge.
Easier to spot in essays but very difficult to prove.
