Painting miniatures really helps focus your mind of what to include, and more importantly exclude, to make a composition work...I'd highly recommend getting out the magnifying glass and having a go 🧐

I love painting dandelions...though I'm not so keen on tidying up the mess from the seed heads afterwards 🥴

This beautiful copper jug, for my latest painting, came from a local thrift shop. I love the marks and dents in the surface, bringing its own history along. I often wonder where they have come from and what they have seen?

The beauty of painting fruit is trying to recreate the unique markings, colours and shapes of each individual piece. I can't ever imagine growing tired of trying to capture this. Thank you nature!

This is my favourite copper kettle to paint. It was given to me from my dad, who salvaged it from a local scrap yard and cleaned it up for me.
