New update! I'll be joining Colby's Classics Department as a Visiting Assistant Professor this fall. I'm sad to leave my wonderful colleagues and students at Bowdoin. But I am excited to be staying in Maine and I'm looking forward to this new venture!

The edited volume on the sublime that I contributed to is out! My chapter examines the Isthmus of Corinth, the Nero's plan to build a canal through it, and the cosmic implications of such a project. I'm happy to share a pre-proof draft with anyone who is interested!

I'm co-organizing a Classics "B Movie" festival this spring at Bowdoin. It's open to the public, so if you happen to be in southern Maine on any of these dates, come join us! And check out the poster I made!

I'm really looking forward to getting a little outside of my comfort zone and learn from scholars outside of Classics. This will also be my second conference in Chicago this year! I'm glad I'm all caught up on The Bear.

I'm excited to announce that I'll be presenting at the 2024 PCA National Conference this March on a panel that examines monsters in popular culture. My paper explores the ways in which Godzilla has become a symbol of empowerment for marginalized groups.
