Young Black Hole Grows Faster Than Expected, Defying Cosmic Limits
A quasar observed 920 million years after the Big Bang, RACS J0320-35, hosts a black hole accreting at about 2.4 times the Eddington limit, the brightest early-universe X-ray source. Read more: https://getnews.me/young-black-hole-grows-faster-than-expected-defying-cosmic-limits/ #blackhole #quasar

Really good article. “There are autisms, rather than just autism.”
While it can be challenging, let’s try and celebrate diversity; let’s face it: it’s the thing that not only makes human culture fertile but is the root of all life on earth.
Il piano per la “Riviera Gaza” è il culmine di anni di devastazione premeditata, realizzata con l’obiettivo di cacciare i palestinesi di Gaza e presentare la loro assenza come un’innovazione. Leggi l'articolo di The New Arab.

The owl is perched with its tail to the left and head to the right. It leans slightly forwards with head turned so that its large eyes face the viewer. The owl’s chest is painted black. The eyes and plummage are intricately detailed in black on a yellowy-cream slip. Three rows of feathers in the wing plumage are painted alternately in red and black. Dated c. 640 BC

A figure with a dogs head with long snout and erect ears, recalling Anubis, wears a robe that shows off his pecks to best effect. He is stood in a landscape full of plants. Two other animals are partly visible in this photo: to his left the hind parts of a griffin and above him the legs of a giraffe.
The Mosaic of ‘Anubis’ from Rimini which may depict the god or more likely a dog-headed person (cynocephalus) from beyond the borders of the known world in an exoticised landscape. A complex image of Roman engagement with different cultures 🏺 #AncientBluesky #MosaicMonday
