I gave up on LiveJournal for that very reason. Russian control, then as now, is suspect IMHO.

Back then, the worry for me was criminal control of who knows what in Russia. Possible identity theft was the number one concern.

Today, it’s their government that is the issue.

Sigh.

Beginning a partial migration to BlueSky.

I say partial because there are some things on FB that are tied to that environment which cannot be changed and are out of my control. Same goes for existing friends on FB.

One should not cut off one’s nose to spite one’s face, as the saying goes.
