I thought that Boris played a tremendous national service, with his muscly bulk hiding the fact that Mr Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was standing behind him between the two women.

The debate over pro-choice is not about whether or not the unborn is a person. It's about if a woman is a person.

Herr Fabricant, a loss to politics, & in particular, to Lichfield.Attaining the exalted position of Lord Commissioner for the Treasury, which, I am sure, features in a G&S Savoy Opera, under Cameron. May, Johnson, Sunak & Truss were afraid of his intellect & razor-cutting tongue to promote him.

I am not an American. But I have to say that I do not marvel or feel inspired by those buildings at all. Countries like Italy have buildings that take your breath away and influence many of the great cities of Europe.

Really? I didn't realise that the Home Secretary had day-to-day responsibility for running the HM Prison and Probation Service, surely it is for the director of that service and/governors of prisoners to consider their positions.

/I suspect that the amount owing to the Revenue is on the basis of profit. However, was there any profit? Did the company have any knowledge that the PPE was faulty before calculating the profit and distributing to a trust that benefited Ms Mone and her children?

I have just been looking at the Medpro account on the Companies House website. The company always claimed exemption for small companies and thereby never published full accounts. The amount owed to the Revenue is only one side; the compensation for unusable PPE is about ยฃ140 million./

/It seems to me that we need to consider that the veil of incorporation needs to be able to be lifted when the link is so close between directors/major shareholders.

/I wonder when it became known that the Medpro supplied PPE was faulty and if this was before the year end accounts were audited, did the auditors know? Why wasn't a contingent liability put in the accounts, which would have reduced the profit (if any) that could be distributed?/

I understand that the company is in Administration with about ยฃ670k in liquid assets, and there is one preference creditor owed ยฃ1 million (a company associated with Doug Barrowman). The former profits from the company were paid into a trust that has Michelle Mone and her children as beneficiaries/

Yesterday we had the ceremony for Sir David, who has made ยฃ millions from his work, paid as well when he represented his country.
I wonder what honour Samir will receive, if any, for risking his life? I would hope to see him get a George Cross.

Chris Mason says she may break a 50 year embargo on raising the standard rate of tax.
Of course it is nonsense whilst the headline rate hasn't changed by having years when personal allowances were frozen or rose below inflation, more income tax was raised and it fell harder on the poorer.

So good to hear from Dame Priti with her razor-sharp mind. Her background in PR promoting British American Tobacco shows her business credentials. There's no nonsense about Priti, I am sure she would solve the capital punishment debate by working to death those idling on life sentences.

Lovely. I like these cactus dahlias and this is a particularly good one. But what is it doing still out in late October! I remember when we regularly had a frost in mid September that would see off tender plants. I have my own dahlias and geraniums still in bloom and its November.

Sir Michael & Lady Take you are an inspiration the way you deal with those who are less fortunate and carry the burden of a poor education. If only Mr Andrew Mountbatten Windsor devoted himself, as you do, then he would soar in public esteem and love & restored to VICE Admiral, an unfortunate term

At some point the UK should consider if it should issue a warning to the US that it will aid Commonwealth countries that are threatened. This is a least the second one, Canada and now Nigeria. We had Reagan invade Grenada.

My MP and I am proud that I have never voted for her, or for that matter, her predecessor Osborne. At each election her share of the vote has reduced, and at the last one she turned the constituency into a marginal, which is how popular she is.

cellar.
After he went glug, glug, glug. Not only was his criminal use of the Mirror's pension scheme exposed. Both Ian and Kevin Maxwell were tried and found not guilty of fraud.
It is surprising with this history that there weren't red lights showing for the RF and that Andrew wasn't told not/

He was always referred to in Private Eye as the Bouncing Czech. A man who's money was made from translating and publishing Eastern European text books in english via a Pergamon. He was also a former Labour MP, and boasted about making a profit when in charge of HOC catering - by selling the wine/
