Listening to the Chronicles of Narnia audiobooks while working is making this Monday at the office much more enjoyable.

Anyone else approaching 40 and starting to revisit the books/shows/games from our childhood? Or is my detachment from reality growing stronger?

A rite of passage is being commenced this night. My son is watching Fellowship of the Ring (extended edition of course!) with me. Asking all sorts of questions that I am all too happy to answer. Whether or not he enjoys it, I’m just glad to be doing this with him. Hopefully he likes it though!

I’m like you. I keep things of sentimental value (especially from my childhood) regardless of their condition. But, there is a lot to be said about the ol “throw away the physical, keep the emotional” when it comes to things like that. The memory remains regardless of if the items themselves stay.

I was born on an American military base in Tokyo. My folks had the option to apply for dual citizenship for me, both the US and Japan. They declined and just stuck with the US.

The amount of housework is still tremendous, especially given the upcoming move in four weeks. But…am I the worst adult alive if I take a break and just play some games with the family today? Sunday Funday needs to always live up to its name.

Good morning. Snagged about six hours of sleep. Which isn’t horrible at all. Time for some BOTW while the house still sleeps. Also going to make some coffee and look up French Toast recipes. Sunday morning is a solid morning to cook a nice breakfast for the whole family. Anyone hungry?
