How can anyone expect me to do any work when #Pokemon Y is taking up my time? Though I should make an effort to do some work while I’m at my desk. It’s painful enough to sit here. Once I get some work done, I’ll head back home to continue my healing journey from my bed.

Jacinthe in Legends Z-A is a wildly annoying character. Say what you will about the gameplay, but the story and the writing of Z-A is spot on fantastic. #Pokémon

Bobs Burgers and Pokemon. This is how I’m spending my evening in a quiet house. No complaints. It’s a fine way to live life at 40. Anything for some peace and serenity while doing things I love to do!

Trying to make it through work while also ignoring this pain. Glad I brought the 3DS with me. A run through Y sounds nice. One of the few I never completed bc I did all the work on X in that Gen.

Up early (nothing new) and playing some Z-A before I have to get ready for work. Missed all of last week due to what’s going on but I have to suck it up and push myself to try today.

Rearranged my gaming/movie/book room last night. It’s amazing what a little reorganizing can do for one’s spirit!

Continuing my previous post, I have Violet on deck next after I finish ZA. Just need to finish the dex over on Violet. Then I’m thinking a playthrough of BDSP since I didn’t get around to finishing both of those when they released. I could go on. Lot of options. Just putting Pokemon in my veins!

The fire that Legends Z-A has created within me for Pokemon is something for which I’m grateful. Sure, the game has some flaws. All games do. But I hadn’t touched a Pokemon game since July. I really thought I was done with them. But now it’s like falling in love all over again!

Painful night but that just means it’s time for more Pokemon. I refuse to let this entire experience define my life now. Trying to keep my optimism and my joy. Grateful for games like Pokemon and for hobbies like watching movies. And very grateful for friends who are helping me get through this!

Ending my day with more Pokemon Legends Z-A and a little ACNH. Putting on a movie as well. Probably Labyrinth or a comfort Ghibli film. Still going through Shingles. Nearly a full week of it. Could go on for who knows how long. Trying to stay positive. Or at least stay calm about it all.

3am. Battling more Shingles pain. Pokémon Legends Z-A is helping distract myself, to some degree at least.

I understand people had issues with Z-A, but I’ll say this for it. It’s fun and entertaining. But to me, most of all, it’s helping me fall in love all over again with Pokémon.

Good day my friends. Sleep is elusive but the shingles pain is relentless. It’s slowly easing off. But when it hits, it’s as if every affected nerve ending lights up at once on fire. A pain I can’t even accurately describe. But, gotta keep moving forward.

As I just turned 40, I’ve learned to accept the kind of gamer I am. And always will be. I’m a game hopper. I run 4 games at a time on average. And it’s how I find joy and comfort in my passion.

Currently running Expedition 33, ACNH, FF7 Remake. Debating on picking up Legends ZA too.

Hey #Pokemon friends. I haven’t played Pokemon since the summer. Went through quite a burn out. But I’m slowly missing it and finding myself wanting to pick it up back is Legends Z-A good? Is it improved? Is it worth the price of admission? Any info is appreciated.

FF7 Remake on my Switch 2 and Labyrinth on my tv. Comfort gaming and comfort viewing. Trying to keep my head positive while shingles wrecks my body. Doc appt in five hours at least. Day 2 of Age 40 is off to a start!
