the only reason i do that is so the pixels dont look like a blurry mess when you zoom in on them. i really really really wish there was a lil toggle i could select that makes it so that any site or program displaying the image wouldnt blur the pixels!!!

but i mean, i currently upscale all my art x2 when i export it, so if the resolution starts getting way too high, i can just, stop doing that lmao

my genuine main worry about drawing at higher resolutions is like, compression on my uploads making shit look illegible anyway 😭 cause lower res stuff doesnt get compressed, and i feel like if shits gonna be unreadable, id rather it be in a way that i can control, if that makes any sense

for example, glasses? certain hairstyles? shit like that can be pretty miserable to draw when i impose a hard limit to my Pixel Count. theres a lot of detail i gotta add to faces, so they sometimes become a crowded illegible mess of Black Pixels dsfkljsdfjkl;as

idk if theres anyone whod be like "nooo vorchi i LOVE your super thick pixelly lineart"

working at smaller resolutions is generally easier for me, cause its less pixels to worry about, less details to worry about, but it does cause a lot of problems when trying to draw certain ocs lol
