Also heard Maresca say that Estevao is going through some personal problems. Wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play or has very limited minutes

I’ve seen people selling Ekitike or Thiago to get in Mane. I’ve got him on my bench but those fixtures are awful.
I think people don’t always realize that good single GW players often outscore doublers. They clearly weren’t around like I was for the Emmanuel Dennis DGW experience 😂

What are people doing?
Semenyo has really good fixtures and form. Roefs is the third highest scoring GK in the game, Ekitike with SUN, NFO, WHU and Wolves in his next four.

Transferred Timber jn for Nunes at deadline. Marginal gain this GW but sets me up for the DGW nicely. Likely to roll this GW and Thiago/KDH in for Rice/Mane in 27. Wouldn’t mind price rises for the latter 2 before then👍

Exactly. I’ve been intrigued for a few weeks but who do you take out for him when you’ve got 6-7 midfielders already in good form, with good fixtures and in much better teams, and more pedigree than him?

I started him over Roefs again. I think I truly do need to transfer him out to a non playing GK to save me from myself

When I brought in Joao Pedro ahead of this 4 fixture run, I set a goal of 25-ish points. I may have been wildly conservative. What a bizarre season this has been.

The fixtures are great, he’ll play 180 minutes, and even in a single GW he’s still probably the best choice this week

I didn’t care for it. Mainly because it was overly complicated and affected you for 3 GWs. Like I said earlier though, I applaud FPL Towers for at least trying new stuff

I kind of like #3. I’m open to anything new as FPL definitely needed some freshening up this season. They’ll have time to analyze this season then hopefully correct what needs to be corrected

Yeah ultimately that’s what I want to say. Not that they shouldn’t get points for doing defensive work, but it should be in proportion to the offensive output of other players

I guess my point is I’m not talking solely about fullbacks but scoring defenders in general who also contribute goals and assists. Mukiele is someone I think we’d all have even if DC points weren’t a thing

Im fine with it. I just want to see significantly more points for goals and assists if we’re going to have 5-6 players in each match essentially starting on 4 points.

I should add that I don’t hate the addition of DC points. I think what makes people frustrated is the unfairness of higher difficulty and rarer (more exciting) actions on the pitch like goals and assists being rewarded similar points. An assist should be worth significantly more than DC points imo

Was curious about this so looked up the top 10 assisting defenders between this season and last. Basically similar numbers (probably nobody gets to 10 though). I think my point is that would there be value in a Robinson this season despite the impressive assist output without DC points? Probably not

Was thinking about a recent thread here about the lack of premiums available, which is true. But being able to play two cheap DC defenders and a cheap DC midfielder in your squad means that everyone can buy the ones that are available. That’s not good for the game either

If you’re thinking about selling him, you probably don’t want to look at who he’s got in the next 4 GWs 👀
