I'm sure there's other routes where I just use 5 transfers that week or something instead.

Hopefully this path also means I take some different players to the field in that period (somewhat out of necessity) without ceding too much in expected value. Should be a fun puzzle at least!

Quite possibly! Will need to see how the FA cup pans out so first aim is just get to BGW31 with as many FTs as I can

Specific lines may vary of course - for example if you have an obvious set of transfers in the immediate to short term that you would become priced out of - but I cannot think of a worse time to be making early moves for price rises in general.

These calculations were run under the assumption that we might expect consistent but slightly limited minutes from Palmer, Saka, and Foden, say around 75-80 on average.

So if your expectations for any of them are lower than that, then budget is even less valuable to you!

That means a 0.3-0.4 budget swing could estimated to be worth around 0.8-1.0 projected points (in total) over the rest of the season.

Team value is almost half as impactful as it has been in previous years.

In previous seasons, you could consistently expect around 0.30 to 0.35 extra projected points per gw per 1mill of budget (peaking as high as ~0.42 at the start of the 22/23 season).

Currently it is around ~0.17
