We might commit a thousand, two max. It depends since it's on a volunteer basis, but the US must have pushed hard for this. There was really no debate that usually surrounds such decisions, which means that all three presidents had to unanimously agree while keeping quiet. That's rare tbh

To me it's sort of a moot point. Serbia keeping Kosovo was a real possibility until 1999, slim possibility until 2008 and virtually impossible afterwards.
As for the second point, if the recent sanctions against Kosovo are any indicator it seems like the EU is at least aware of some of the issues.

Well that's the core of the issue, since there really are two solutions: annexing all of it and giving citizenship to all, or giving Palestinians an independent state. The uniqueness of Israel is that they don't want to do either. And they state that very clearly.

And even Republic of Srpska, which has ethnic cleansing in its foundations, does not claim non-serbs aren't citizens. They actually make the opposite quite clear, and sometimes claim that they are more multicultural and equal than FBiH.

Yes, but even when they claim the land they are sort of aware that they will get Albanian citizens with it. A big talking point against irredentism towards Kosovo among Serbian liberals is that with Kosovo back you get ~2 million Albanian citizens/voters.

Exodus of Serbs from VRS controlled areas of Sarajevo post Dayton but before being handed over to the Bosnian government might qualify in the sense that a peace treaty was signed and there was a huge UN peacekeeping mission deployed already, so they were most likely not in any immediate danger.

But the Germans were expelled into Germany, unlike the Palestinians who were expelled into neighbouring countries (especially post 1967). Ironically, if there was a Palestinian state to absorb the refugees it would make the 'just get over it' argument for the Nakba much stronger.
