The BiH Const. Crt rules the 2025 Minic govt was unlawfully appointed, thus nullifying all of its decisions, incl the 2026 RS budget. Tho a new govt has since been formed, with Minic again at its head, this decision will further undermine the entity’s already weak credit ratings.

The US is entitled to nominate whomever it chooses to pursue its energy interests. But for BiH, which is pursuing this project precisely to decouple itself from Russian gas dependency, a firm which may have such close links to one of Moscow's most militant assets in Europe would be an odd choice.
