(2/2) Bei dem Feuer starben zwei Menschen. Wir anderen konnten das Haus entweder allein oder mit Hilfe der Feuerwehr verlassen. Und manchmal frage ich mich, ob ich traurig darüber sein darf, dass ich nicht in „meinem“ Bett schlafen und nicht an „meinem“ Tisch sitzen kann.

Vor genau einem Jahr, letzte Nacht, weckte mich die Feuerwehr um 2:30 Uhr morgens, weil die Wohnung meiner Nachbarin in Flammen stand. Seit jener Nacht ist meine Wohnung unbewohnbar. Seitdem lebe ich mal hier, mal da. Vier Fünftel meines Besitzes waren Schrott. (1/2)

The sculpture, the space, the light, the shadow, and the photographic distance carry equal weight. None explains the others. The object becomes precise, the shadow becomes unstable, the room becomes a stage. Meaning emerges in their balance from how form, space, and light are held together. Love it!

The scenes are quiet and desolate, with muted colors, damp surfaces, and low visibility, conveying an atmosphere of stillness, abandonment, and early-morning haze in an industrial landscape.

If they have no brains in their heads, how can they ask?

White, minimalist structure resembling an open garage: a rectangular frame with horizontal slats on top, smooth paneled sides, and an empty interior. Inside, a small abstract wall-mounted form interrupts the otherwise bare, grey-toned space.

Although it resembles a garage, it is an architectural feature. It is a facade with no street and a room with no purpose. The utility has been stripped of its function. It is a form that pretends to be neutral while making a claim.

The flag of Greenland (Greenlandic: Erfalasorput or Kalaallit erfalasuat, Danish: Grønlands flag) was designed by Greenlandic politician Thue Christiansen. It features two equal horizontal bands of white (top) and red (bottom) with a counter-changed red-and-white disk slightly to the hoist side of centre. The entire flag measures 18 by 12 parts; each stripe measures 6 parts; the disk is 8 parts in diameter, horizontally offset by 7 parts from the hoist to the centre of the circle, and vertically centered.

This is the flag of Greenland. A tremendous flag. Really beautiful. Some people are saying the most beautiful flag anywhere in the world. Incredible design. Strong, simple, very smart. No reason to change it. Nobody does flags better than this. We should absolutely keep it. Believe me.
