Today, I switched off the world to paint. I’m applying a glaze to create more light in a scene from my picture book where the little girl feels overwhelmed by the rules and world around her. I’m sure many can relate to how she feels!

I loved creating this. I had to wait patiently while the salt did its thing to create space on the page. For me, dandelions feel like breath. Breath is life. It brings us back into our body and out of our heads.
