Europe PMCHome - Europe PMC Europe PMC is an archive of life sciences journal literature.

We can adapt! Europe PMC has more content than PubMed as well as RSS and other familiar features.

Things to keep in mind:
1. Download. Your. Papers.
2. DOIs are durable. Use them.
3. Your work is important. There are so many people out there depending on our research to improve their quality of life. Don’t give up.

Individual journals are also still up and running. They all have a search function. Can’t get behind a paywall? Use your university login or a library to access what you need. Pubmed going down is a horrible inconvenience, but everything you could find there can be found somewhere else.

You know what else is up and running when PubMed is not? Libraries. Whatever they don’t have, they can get via interlibrary loan. This applies to both public and university libraries.

Google Scholar Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. Search across a wide variety of disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions.

Good old google scholar is still up and running. I know people have Strong Opinionsβ„’ one way or the other but it does have the benefit of being up and running.

Rare disease gene association discovery in the 100,000 Genomes Project - Nature A rare variant burden analytical framework for Mendelian diseases was developed and applied to data from the 100,000 Genomes Project, identifying 69 probable new disease–gene associations.

For #RareDiseaseDay we are excited to amplify exciting work from Monarch scientists published yesterday in Nature focused on rare disease-gene association discovery. This work led to the discovery of 69 novel gene-disease associations! 🧬 Amazing! Check out the article: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
