He is a menace. And this is horrible. It’s bad enough that unqualified people are in important positions like this, but he’s worse than incompetent - he’s actively undermining competence.

WELL NOW, would you look at that? A massive GLOBAL study revealed COVID-19 vaccines utilizing mRNA technology PREVENTED OVER 2.5 MILLION deaths WORLDWIDE between 2020 and 2024.

It reveals that vaccinations didn’t JUST protect against illness.

They PRESERVED nearly 15 MILLION years of human life.

Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

phillyinquirer "Republicans appear poised to ram through Donald Trump's massive economic and domestic policy bill that gives to the rich and takes from the poor, all while leaving future generations saddled with trillions more in debt," writes The Inquirer Editorial Board.
"Most Americans oppose the bill. Even 66% of Republican-leaning voters who don't identify with the MAGA movement are against the proposed legislation.
As usual, Trump oversold the measure, which he simplistically called "one big beautiful bill"
β€” a name Republicans legitimized as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. But under any name, it's really one big bankrupt bill - both morally and fiscally.
How bad is the proposal? Details are still getting sorted out between the House and Senate, but let us count some of the ways."

Opinion | A Day of American Infamy (Gift Article) A dreadful moment for Ukraine, for the free world, for the legacy of an America that once stood for the principles of the Atlantic Charter.

Strong words from Bret Stephens: β€œRoosevelt and Reagan must be spinning in their graves, as are Churchill and Thatcher. It’s up to the rest of us to reclaim America’s honor from the gangsters who besmirched it in the White House.”

Today is a reminder of Zelensky's superhuman stamina and strength. He deflected deeply unfair vile attacks in his 3rd language and kept it together while two bullies threatened his country's existence and repeated the tired but infuriating propaganda tropes of the aggressor.

One reason why I think respectability is stupid is because it's often used as a mask. Such judgements are rarely about the clothes themselves, but more often about the bodies beneath them. To wit, no one raised an issue when Elon wore a graphic t-shirt and ball cap to meet the Trump cabinet.
