The Senator Who Failed America on Vaccines Bill Cassidy blew it.

Senator Bill Cassidy cast a pivotal vote to confirm RFK Jr. while vowing to constrain him. Cassidy has clearly failed to do so, writes Nicholas Florko.

I am looking for congressional leaders to come out quickly and forcefully against this. We need unequivocal opposition. We need theatric demonstrations of defiance. We need to see leadership. Trump will steamroll us all if we display weakness. Where are our leaders?

Much as I would not dare to predict the consequences of this war, I do think we can summarize it thusly so far:

A smart and evil man manipulated a stupid and evil man into a war against a fanatical and evil regime.

This is a blatant, deeply alarming attempt to shut down lawful oversight of the Trump administration's wildly illegal conduct, and part of an escalating authoritarian crackdown on political dissent. We stand with Rep. McIver against this baseless persecution.

Trump is historically unpopular
