Autumn mood…
Here’s an image I made a couple of weeks ago while guiding my last of . year in Auvergne/FR. Now the mist is thick, the first snowfall arrived, -4, and the wood stove is burning again and the first pumpkin from the garden has become a lovely soup.

Group of Birch trees in line with autumn colors. With one bended in half a circle. Color tones light and medium dark grey and white tints with in between yellow/orange colors. There is a hint of darker green from a furetree.

Berken, een van mijn favoriete bomen.
In Estland kon ik echt mijn hart ophalen. Het maakt niet uit of je een bomenliefhebber bent of niet, daar word je op slag verliefd. Het contrast tussen de kleuren en de witte stammen, en het enorme aantal bomen dat zijn mooiste kant laat zien.

Fading Autumn
...fewer leaves, more birch shapes, justa hint of Autumn.

The wind was still fierce, as it had been throughout that journey, but the air had turned mild and the ice was already beginning to melt.
Reflections shimmered on the water, blocks of ice drifted slowly, and the soft sound of meltwater added a quiet kind of music to the scene.

Finally I have some time and peace of mind to look at some of the pictures I made in North Iceland. Strong winds made it challenging at times, but the 'lack' of snow made the landscape even more graphic. It was a feast for the eyes!
