you can throw any data in front pf these people and they'll always find the interpretation that best fits the conclusion that trans women are all duplicitous malebrained predators. which is why the standard for scientific papers on trans women is about as high as that of a callout post.

like that study where "researchers" receive data which indicates trans women often have to resort to sex work, and they conclude that trans women must like to do sex work because it makes us feel girly inside. they'd already reached that conclusion, so they assumed that's what the data meant.

it's sorta like working backwards. the conclusion determines how you reach your information. so instead of interpreting your conclusion based off of the data, your interpret your data based off your conclusion

i've been working on my book a lot lately, so i've got more takes on transfeminism than usual. this particularly tricky part i'm working on details how the cognitive bias logic loop creates its reality breaking, innately true conclusion

Normie transphobes are drunk on their own Kool-Aid -- their mental model of the archetypal non-passing trans woman is that of a masculine-looking man-like person with a buzz cut, straight out of transphobic cartoons of literal cis men in women's bathrooms

like, just a random example here, white privilege comes from *not* being racialized. you have the privilege of not being part of the underclass.

maybe it's the additive nature of the word privilege that gets people aggy. they think by being privileged they're being assigned a quality they don't feel they have, but the term's describing a quality you lack

usually they'll say something like "how can i be privileged when i experience [event]!"

apparently these people are under the impression that privilege absolves you of all suffering, rather than benefitting you in specific areas

you can tell when someone has a privilege because they get very defensive about the existence of said privilege

(will say tho, i think you can infer from this that there *is* a lack of distinction between what's culturally feminine and something like sex characteristics, the thought just hadn't crossed my mind lol)

for example, in a culture where roundness is considered feminine, a physical trait such as round hips becomes associated with female sex characteristics

less meant to imply a distinction (or lack thereof) and more meant to describe how our cultural understanding of femininity informs how we define things like sex characteristics.

i think where a lotta people get mixed up here is that we're led to believe that the class of woman came first, and then feminine traits were invented to justify the classification. but if those traits didn't exist you wouldn't have been able to define women in the first place lol

got to have a fun conversation about this section and how femininity is often misidentified as an offshoot of womanhood, when in reality womanhood is the offshoot.
