So please, don't think I'm ignoring you if I don't reach out. I just don't have the brain hardware to remember to poke most people until they appear somewhere to jog my memory...

I'm sorry for being an airhead in more ways that one, but that's the cards I was dealt in the brain condition lottery.

I don't /want/ to lose track of people the moment they leave my mental vision, but that's just how it is, even for my closest friends. I need reminders, usually seeing someone's posts, to think to say hi. At the same time, friendship decay does not exist on my end. I will pick up where we left off.

This has been my life, and it has been a long road to learning how to live with being a social klutz. Especially with ASD thrown in. That social object permanence is hard mode, and I hope people can forgive me when you cease to exist in my brain when we don't interact daily.
