Recurrent Outbreak of Carbapenem‐Resistant IMP‐1‐Producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Kidney Transplant Recipients: The Impact of Prolonged Patient Colonization Carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa can remain colonized for a long period of time in kidney transplant recipients and may become the main source of an outbreak.

Immunosuppressed patients can have prolonged colonization with major MDR pathogens of importance. This study addressing MDR Pseudomonas in kidney Tx recipients demonstrates the challenge in calling an outbreak "over" in IC hosts. #IDsky #TxID
