As you should! I wish more writers do what you did with your fic instead of completely erasing a character’s identity to suit their needs. Most people just re-write characters themselves, instead of creating OC’s. One can write an OC who has an impact of the story without erasing others personality.

Look, I'm the last person who shames creative writers and anyone who works and creates art, but sometimes they should be shamed.
