I somewhat dabbled with painting starting in 2005. I started with ok supplies, grew some in my skills. But stalled. I didn’t paint, draw, etc from 2017-2025. I have refocused and am finding I am making huge strides in my skills. I also have been learning about pastels!

I can’t even right now. I love people who are different. The different perspectives of life are a good learning experience.
But differences based on hate, dishonesty, and removal of ideas and people are not welcome. I don’t dislike you because you are different. I dislike you because of your hate.

Ugh. AI art suuucks. And as a photographer, it pisses me off to see others use it so heavily to alter their photography. With that said, I have found use with it helping me fine tuning selecting areas where I want to do dodging/burning which is a process that goes back to the days of film.

This weekend’s food adventure is going to be learning how to make tortillas from scratch, both corn and flour. And be kind of successful at it.

Corn tortillas are the traditional form made by peoples native to what is now generally Mexico. Colonialism brought wheat…meaning we got wheat tortillas!
