I spy a mischievous Adorable Demon Kitten!

It’s a lovely day and warm enough that I have the balcony door open, and Vixen is FASCINATED 😂

I did some meal prep today and made a big batch of a pork/bean/veggie soup. I’m really happy with how this came out! 😋

I’m getting caught up on the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships & I’m always amused when watching skating competitions by wondering if Nicole Kidman & Ewan McGregor have any idea the impact Moulin Rouge had on this sport! I enjoy the movie & love that soundtrack,but it does get used a lot!

She’s still on the sedative the vet gave her after her initiation from kitten to katten, so she’s quite looped, but is doing very well. And considering her default setting is Chaos Gremlin, the sedative is necessary to keep her from popping her incision open!

I have a very confused kitten. She got her spay done today and while she came through with flying colors and the vets raved about how well she did & how cute she is, she HATES that cone!

Weird vibe all day. It wasn’t bad, just felt weird. Needing to comfort binge something different. I binged Chopped episodes & Star Wars Rebels/Ahsoka last week. Think I’ll go with Full Swing. Behind the scenes golf drama is appealing at the moment for some reason, & a new season is premiering soon.

The pregame, anthem & halftime performances celebrated black talent, were 🔥 & called out the bs? FOTUS got booed? Nike celebrated 🚺 athletes? Damn, kinda wish I’d watched!😂👏

In my continuing war to eradicate the blood sucking bastard fleas from my home, I shampooed the carpet today. The Adorable Demon Kitten felt personally attacked by this, and is now completely baffled by the slight lingering dampness. But she has forgiven me enough to crawl into my lap 😂

Was surfing for movies last night and came across the 1960 Swiss Family Robinson and put it on for the nostalgia kick. It was a favorite when I was a kid. Man, I forgot what a brat Francis was and how much I don’t like him!

Pretty sure Bastet and the Cat Distribution System knew what they were doing when they brought Vixen to me. Gave Sadie just enough time to teach her how to take care of me before she had to leave 🥹

Because I’ve spent 8 of the last 10 days on a prescheduled staycation, I haven’t heard a lot of in person reaction to recent national shenanigans. We’ll see what the next four days are like.

Just got caught up on the Men’s Free Skate at the European Championships - HOLY CRAP! The last two flights were insane and I never would’ve predicted the final standings! I love competitions like this! 😍

Just finished watching the Europeans Ice Dance final and I LOVED Orihara & Pirinen’s (Finland) A Chorus Line freedance! So much fun!

I just finished getting caught up on the Ladies’ Final at the European Figure Skating Championships and I am BAWLING, that was awesome!

I grabbed this bottle at Costco last week because I love octopi, red wine, haven’t seen it before, & was curious. Verdict? It’s delicious! 😋 🐙

Watching The Adventures of Robin Hood, the Errol Flynn masterpiece of classic Hollywood. I’ve always loved this, partly for Korngold’s score. He poured himself into it as a thank you for saving his & his family’s life. It got them out of Austria on the last train before the border closed in 1938.
