While I do drink, I don’t like having more than 2-3 drinks in one night. I’ve had it happen too many times where someone would get sloppy drunk and I had to babysit them or leave early with them to get them home. It always ruined my night, so I don’t want to do that to someone else.

Porco Rosso is a beautiful movie and very much needed in a time of rising fascist sentiment. It captures that stinging melancholic loneliness of being “othered” by your own government, but it also gives me hope by showing the power of community and personal relationships in trying times.
