Same! I was also crying a lot. For a moment I could feel the asphyxia, the terror, and the helplessness all at once. I can't imagine being trapped in that for almost an hour, or dying slowly to the sound of my favorite artist. I hope they get real justice some day

Same. I can't fathom being trapped without air, having no control, and my favorite artist playing in the background while dying slowly.

Same, I can't believe the level of carelessness.

I just got on here to see the reactions. I had no idea how bad it really was, and I really thought that Travis Scott didn't know anything about it but he did. He can either make a real effort to make reparative justice or he can quit hit career. Live nation too.

I'm in complete shock after watching #Astroworld on #Netflix The level of carelessness and negligence is beyond belief. No one should ever go through that kind of trauma.

A Burrowing Owl in mid-flight, wings arched in a dramatic curve, staring directly at the camera with piercing yellow eyes, against a blurred green and golden field background during golden hour.

Caught in a perfect moment – the intensity and beauty of this creature in flight. Simply breathtaking. Photo by Β©markian.b

Sometimes the Moon passes directly in front of the beautiful Pleiades star cluster in a celestial event called an occultation! This composite image from Spain captures the Moon's visit. These monthly occultations last until 2029, then not again until 2042!

Thou shalt not deport hard working, good people whilst importing vile criminals like the Tate brothers and still claim you have morals.

Just commenting here to remind people to continue to use the term Undocumented Immigrants. Let's not use the dehumanizing language of the oppressor.

The lower-left quadrant of the image is filled with rusty-brown dust clouds dotted with a few bright stars. Hazy pillars of gas and dust rise up toward the right. A bluish-white glow fills the lower-right quadrant. The haze is more transparent as you move toward the upper right corner. Background is dotted with stars.

Viewed like a distorted donut, an inner circular nebula region glows in dark blue shades with faint stars viewed within. It's surrounded by a ring of bright teal, then an outer ring of reddish-orange. Black space with distant, faint stars fills the background.

A nebula with stars. The center of the image from top-left to bottom-right glows brightly with the light of newly forming stars and is partially obscured by dark dust. Colored layers of gas and dust billow out across the rest of the image. Foreground stars with large diffraction spikes speckle the nebula.

Pro tip: if your senator's/congressperson's DC office doesn't answer or their mailbox is full, call their regional offices.

Most senators have six regional offices. Just google your senator and you'll find it on their website.

Keep calling until you get a person or can leave a message.

Wow, thank you for sharing and keeping her voice alive. I find myself feeling devastated and grieving for someone I never met, so I can only imagine what it's like for her loved ones 😞 May we always remember her and continue her work.

just stumbled on a real jaw-dropper of a line in an essay -- β€œThe corollary of being interested in a great range of things is to have sympathy with a great range of outlooks” -- and that, my friends, is why reading is so important.

4.) Find an ally πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ Same idea as your "gym buddy," this is someone who will work with you to make the work more bearable. You will research, learn together, practice together, and protest together while holding each other accountable.

2.) Set up a day when you will call AND email those elected officials 🀳🏻 Stop signing petitions, they're not as effective.

3.) Read the agendas and minutes πŸ“– if you do not know how to find them, read or interpret them, reach out to your elected officials or local Democrat office for help.

This is what we need to do:

1.) Look up your elected officials πŸ” From the federal, state, down to the local (city council, water board, school board, etc). Follow them on social media, call them, write to them, ask to meet with them, and demand that they protect vulnerable communities.

25.01.2025 19:45 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yet I'm appalled by the number of elected officials at the federal and state level, celebrities, and regular people who are giving up to this oppressive government w/o a fight! THIS IS NOT RIGHT!
