Missing an „@ E“ in the commit message for @=probablybrokencanonlytestpostcommit and E=environment. Aside from that, perfectly normal for pipeline work.

590 words today and I am happy with #NaNoWriMo. Been doing this for three days now and I am making progress. Actual progress. A very nice feeling. I'll post an update again when I reach a new milestone. :)

There’s a lot of great content in there. And well balanced. But it’s hard to read, not so much because of the length but because of all the transcripts and videos in there.

Day two of #NaNoWriMo. 652 words... Tomorrow I'll try "eating the frog" early in the day, so to speak.

Day one of #NaNoWriMo. ~1300 words, a bit less the the average 1667 I need. It feels gps to have started though. Let’s see if I can increase the pace.

The AI Shift: where are all the job losses? A macroeconomic change isn’t clear yet but payroll data shows some types of work are already being displaced

The next time someone tells you AI has resulted in massive job losses, share this article with them.

"If the question is whether we are seeing widespread AI-driven displacement of roles across a range of sectors and countries, then the answer is no."

What a nice coincidence. Episode 100 as JEP 401 goes „submitted“.

Oh. I did not think it was such a case-by-case situation. I had the hope that maybe there was sort of a backup list, maybe filled with experienced people that are already locked into the conference.

Wow. A lot of work to get what the semantic element gives you for free. I don’t see a single argument for the div.

I remember a report from ~August that said across cloud vendors only 20% of capacity was used. Will have to dig that up because that is very much not outstripping demand.

Ouch. Giving you have organized a couple of conferences, do you have a process for this? What’s the first thing you do?

Cool stuff. Have you seen what the Spring team is doing with their VSCode extension? It shows logical items like repositories, domain events etc. with a special icon in the project view but also as a special project filter.

Is that related to the trusted types API? Or is it exactly that?

If their revenue was $2,5bn, and their loss was $11,5bn, then they spent $14bn in Q3 alone. So 18% of their spend is revenue. Ed Zitron says they need about $400bn in the next 12 months. So their revenue has to go up to $71bn and their loss to $329bn, maybe $150bn in Q3 2026. 27% of that hurts MSFT.
