I donโt think it really makes a difference in practice, usually Error is a union of bunch of types so you still need to lookup to tell.

25.06.2025 15:58 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've been collaborating on Dialog: a new kind of database that I plan to make use of in #Familiar. At Local-First Conference I gave a hallway track demo of how users of the database may query over partial replicas (even empty replicas). Here is a screen cast of the demo: youtu.be/0a_Nb2CAoJc?...

Simulation is intentionally abstract here, but I imagine that simulation could be explored alongside with a reality. It's somewhat doable on changes to a data, but difficult when it comes to things like sending a friend email because it's hard to simulate their reaction, perhaps doable with LLMs
17.04.2025 19:25 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I suspect general solution looks less like injection prevention & a more like managing effects LLMs can cause. If every change LLM can make is more of a simulation that author can discard or play out in real world there is no problem, beyond decision makers ability to make a well informed one

Also built-in tool to customize sites you visit is really empowering.
Joel from ceramic.network seems to also be arriving to a similar conclusions https://stigmergic.org/posts/generative-did-maximalism/ although but with different approach and goals
30.05.2023 18:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Generally skeptical of DIDs due to logical centralization mixed with mutability. While DNS TXT records are a neat way around by leveraging DNS, it's impractical for majority of internet users. We have instead trying to do same with email https://github.com/web3-storage/specs/blob/main/w3-account.md
