Ok, for real, why are so many of the few job postings in Middle East Studies that are tenure-track at Indiana University Bloomington this year - I saw a 3rd(!) one today posted.

I am not sure academia in the USA is a good match for me when I constantly have to assess if the university is at most one hour from a major city with direct transcontinental flights

A rather large list of scholars, think tank specialists etc in the anglophone sphere for the SWANA region
