There are several people in Alabama politics who continually run for office without qualification or resources and I think that these people are incredibly damaging. Jones is a legit candidate who wouldn't run unless there was a chance of winning.

I don't know if Doug Jones will win, but he's one of the few potential candidates with the resources to conduct actual polling and so I hope this means that the Republicans are cooked in 2026.
