The ongoing proliferation of illegal content on gore sites is undermining broader efforts to counter terrorism and other harms online.

Among the key findings of the research:

There is much to strongly suggest these attacks may be linked to Russian intelligence operations, including the offer of cash rewards for carrying out targeted attacks, a tactic Russia is known to use to instigate sabotage in Ukraine and across Europe.

While attribution remains under investigation, we do know that the group has recently aligned itself with Russia and has started to conduct arson & sabotage against Ukrainian infrastructure.
