Stansted Airport IT failure sparks travel chaos – with 10,000 people missing flights
An estimated 10,000 passengers have missed flights so far on Sunday morning
Stansted airport chaos due to IT failure.
Hours of queuing for first-wave flights.
Jet2 and Tui delayed departures to wait for passengers to reach the gate.
But Ryanair, the biggest airline, has been dispatching near-empty planes on time to avoid delays later.

In any other major city in Europe the streets of Soho would obviously be pedestrianised and businesses/visitors on a glorious day like today could enjoy al fresco dining. But thanks to Westminster Council and the way we give outsized power to absurd local complaints, not here!

My objection to this is twofold:
1) It is stupid to do seat-by-seat models about an election that will occur after the end of Trump's second term.
2) If pollsters going to spend money on things, why not, e.g. try & get a better sample of young men of all kinds or ethnic minorities of all ages?

US secretary of state says Washington will focus on ‘other priorities’ if war cannot be ended soon
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Trump will abandon peace deal efforts between Russia and Ukraine within “matter of days” unless he sees clear signs deal is possible. NB: Trump hasn’t even tried to push Putin. Sticks have been used on Kyiv, carrots for Moscow. on.ft.com/42ZqtDB

Why rising bond yields are rattling Rachel Reeves
Chancellor in danger of breaking fiscal rules after cost of servicing UK 10-year debt rises to highest level since 2008
Why are rising bond yields rattling Rachel Reeves?
The chancellor has created something of a triple lock for herself: a primary commitment not to break her fiscal rules, but also not to further increase taxes, and no return to austerity.
