Why does the built-in Windows clock/timer app require my login pin every time I launch it? What nefarious things could someone do with my timers/alarms?! make it make sense.

Everyone wants to make video games until they have to sit down and actually *make the video game*. (me included)

Anyways, back to making a video game.

Been playing Deadlock since last year, and the progress they've made is unreal. The most recent art pass they've done is absolutely incredible. I can't remember a game that is just so *COOL* in all of it's bold designs.

This game is specifically made for me, my gaaaaawd

It's wild that my Steam account is old enough to drink.

The contradictory ideas of "make prototypes very simple and unpolished to see if they're fun first" and "half the fun of a game is the polish and juice" makes me pretty bad at prototyping, ngl

There should be a gaming review website that only scores games on one metric: how easy it is to eat string cheese while playing. Most games score very poorly, I'd imagine.

I just need to know how lit my player is, and wasn't expecting a "is this thing in shadow or not" check to have taken me 6 hours of trying (and failing). 😩

One of the OG Wormtown discord members has now modded de_dust2 into Wormtown alongside a PVP mode where Pardners can blast each other with Bullworm Rifles lmao

Being a multiplayer dev means you'll get negative steam reviews that amount to "my friends made me angry, so this game sucks".

I really love word games/puzzles, so it's always a tough part of game dev when I really want to add them, but know they'd be literally un-localizable... herrumph :c

It still never fails to make me laugh, the dichotomy of steam reviews. I'll get a negative one, "game complete trash", and then a positive one, "Best game ever" - within minutes of each other.

Did a private playtest for the upcoming Wormtown update tonight and was my stomach hurt from laughing.

I'm hyped for people to get their hands on this nonsense 😂

It's easy to take modern video games for granted with the hyper realistic graphics... but like, some days the realization that I can push a button and a little guy moves on screen still feels like magic. Games are neat!

Listen, I get it's a more enjoyable and "underdog" narrative, but saying PEAK is a "surprise hit", when it's in one of the most popular current genres, made by well respected and fan-favorite devs, with MILLIONS of sales behind them - like come on. This was always going to go beaucoup bonkers.

"Peak" is my current GOTY. Not even close.
