19.05.2025 17:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0i wish they would take out the elimination :( but i guess in this case they literally never would have caught up so they kind of had to do it. itβs even more annoying when everyone is close together and we lose a couple for the sake of an hour or a few mins
08.05.2025 08:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0i donβt want to lose the cute divorced couple :( but surely thereβs no other way #RaceAcrossTheWorld
07.05.2025 20:49 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0EVERY SEASON

07.05.2025 20:30 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I absolutely hate it every season
07.05.2025 20:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0mayyybe that would make sense but so often the couple that was 5th for ages manages to sneak in and someone else goes and it feels super unfair and unnecessary to the plot of the show
01.05.2025 10:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0feel like i complain about this every season but i HATE the 5th place elimination. so pointless. #RaceAcrossTheWorld
30.04.2025 20:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0i just love the pair of sisters so much π₯Ή what down to earth lovely souls #RaceAcrossTheWorld

23.04.2025 20:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0one of my favourite #RaceAcrossTheWorld things is when they all run off from the start line as if 1) they know where theyβre going 2) arenβt racing for many weeks

Iβve been nudged by the production team for the βGreat British Sewing Beeβ to say they are looking for ND / disabled folk for the next series of the show.

16.04.2025 13:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Kidlit colleagues, just a reminder that JK Rowling *funded* this challenge over the definition of women at the Supreme Court. Every time you choose to work with her, platform her, take a stance that aligns with her, buy her books, nominate her for more awards, she uses that and funds hate.
16.04.2025 11:29 β π 950 π 417 π¬ 5 π 21as horrible as the cuts are, I enjoyed writing this one - my dissertation was on social reproduction theory so bringing that back out was really interesting!

06.04.2025 16:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0At the heart of every attack on disability benefits is the myth disabled people βget perksβ: a free car, loads of cash, a life off work. It misrepresents the reality of disability, whilst exploiting low wages and high living costs to make the public envy people in daily pain.

23.03.2025 19:14 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0guess whoβs part of the meta scrape! very upsetting as an anti-AI author. libgen is a useful resource and Iβd honestly rather people had the info in my book than not but thatβs not the same as a scrape this huge for thousands of authors

a reminder that disabled people who chose to live with their partners, as all people should have the right to do, no longer qualify for any out of work benefits. their only crumb of financial independence is PIP. women trapped in abusive relationships under these circumstances have little to no hope
18.03.2025 10:44 β π 247 π 96 π¬ 2 π 2yes and one of the MP questions listed how many categories you could need a decent level of support in but never qualify for PIP because of this and she said that wasnβt what it meant - but it does.

18.03.2025 14:21 β π 937 π 245 π¬ 54 π 22it is absolutely wild that IPSO doesnβt protect from statements like this, Iβm actually so done
18.03.2025 13:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0sorry - UK government is currently announcing horrific reforms to our disability benefits system and itβs 99% about working
18.03.2025 13:32 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0canβt believe someone just said that those w mh needs should only be able to do βsocially useful workβ for benefits - what a horrific double standard and a true notion of the ideas of eugenics that this society holds
18.03.2025 13:31 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0it would really be nice for someone to actually acknowledge that pip isnβt an out of work benefit actually :)
